Hi!

I'm Lee........

Growing up in Manchester, I’m no stranger to the world of sports and training.

I played football from a young age and won several medals in Olympic wrestling in high school.  Then, while studying Economics at university in Newcastle, I represented the university rugby league team.

After graduating, I returned to my hometown to work for Manchester United FC on the business side of things.  Office life just isn’t for me, though, so I left to become a paramedic.

For seven years I worked on the front lines as an emergency paramedic in the big city before undertaking further training to work in the offshore oil industry.  There I provided general and emergency medical services to crews on offshore rigs.

I loved the work so much that I decided to complete a MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice.  It didn’t take long before I was running fitness sessions for the crews in my spare time, earning professional qualifications as a fitness instructor and personal trainer along the way.

You might think that exercising and taking on challenges — from running marathons to pursuing advanced degrees — is my favourite thing to do.  But actually, my favourite thing is to help other people push their limits, improve their health, and live the life of their dreams.

That’s why I focus on holistic health, offering services for physical fitness, diet and nutrition, and other aspects of wellbeing that help people feel good about themselves.

After leaving Manchester I spent four years living in the Lake District, one of the most beautiful parts of northwest England, before moving to the Isle of Skye in 2011.  This is where I’ve found my true home.  I currently live 10 minutes outside of Portree with my two German shorthaired pointers, Jess and Dexter.  They are my best friends, running companions, and training partners.

I also have one son who has now gone off to live his own life.  Watching him grow up into a fine young man is my proudest joy in life.

2018 saw me complete my first full Ironman Triathlon in Barcelona, Spain.  This was a great opportunity to raise money for two charities close to my heart: the Scottish Association for Mental Health and the Perthshire Gundog Rescue.  Both organizations are doing amazing things, so it is an honour to support them.

These days, in the spare time when I’m not training, I enjoy exploring the outdoors with my dogs, fly fishing, hiking, and climbing in the mountains.  Skiing has been one of my biggest passions for the past 25 years. More recently I have spent several seasons training with Mark Gear and Alison Culshaw at Chamonix, the off-piste ski capital of Europe.  I regularly return there to ski, something I’m always looking to improve.  And now, I also provide ski fitness programmes with online back-up to their clients.

To relax — yes, I do relax sometimes! — I enjoy reading, listening to all kinds of music, catching up with friends, and sitting back with a glass of wine.

My life is devoted to helping others achieve their fitness dreams.  I hope that, someday soon, I can help you achieve yours as well.
